Alisha Sharma
Senior Copywriter & Content Strategist

Not everyone buys
for the same reason.
I write for how people decide.
Not how brands wish they would.

Consumer psychology is the foundation of my work.

Laundry Sauce

Paid media copy

Pitched like perfume. Priced like detergent.

Context
A category where every competitor argues the same three things: cleaner, cheaper, greener. Standing out meant refusing to follow suit.
Approach
Position it as a fine fragrance versus a detergent. Notes, not ingredients. A self-care experience, not a chore.
Execution
On-screen overlay text and ad copy for static and video creatives. Different angles for different audiences on different paid platforms.
Result
These numbers came from a full team: ecom strategy, development, design, media buying, and more. CAC −23%, ROAS +26%, CTR +35% on our creative, revenue +28%, and +305% new customers from paid search.

Flaus

Landing page

The page that got promoted.

Context
A boring category with genuinely bold creative behind it. The goal was to write copy that complemented how loud the design already was.
Approach
Sell the lie people are already telling their dentist (that they floss consistently).
Execution
A full conversion landing page, including a seven-reason listicle, benefit blocks, a how-to section, trust signals, social proof, and UGC content.
Result
This landing page performed so well that Flaus made it the permanent product page, which is still live today.
Flaus "7 reasons to Toss the Floss" listicle
Flaus "So… are you DTF? (Down to Flaus)" feature section

DIGI by Glamnetic

Brand book + website

Same SKU. Different demographic.

Context
Glamnetic was already working, so DIGI was built as the spin-off for a younger crowd. The brief arrived with the split already drawn: Glamnetic premium and millennial, DIGI affordable and mass, priced at $10.99 and under. Cofounder and CEO Ann McFerran described the difference to WWD as “bold, it’s expressive, it’s bright — a lot more maximalist than Glamnetic, which offers more of a ‘clean girl,’ elevated look.” The audience was Gen Z and Gen Alpha, a group skipping salons entirely, so a press-on is their first nail experience. That was the voice I was hired to write into, not one I concluded.
Approach
The same DNA, aged down. Simpler sentences, edgier tone, and trend-literate. Close enough to recognize the parent label, different enough to stand as its own brand.
Execution

Began with the foundation: a brand book from scratch, including tone of voice, audience personas, brand values, dos/don'ts, and a full copy bank that puts all of it into practice.

From there: homepage, collection page, how-to demonstration, FAQs, and PDPs of each nail design with descriptions.

Result
Handed over a complete brand book and website. The brand launched into 450 Ulta stores plus online, running two collections a month with a thousand creators behind it — the company’s numbers, not mine, but they are the scale the voice had to hold up at. The team kept the resources to keep building without me.

Sephora Middle East

Live script + pre-automated flow

From conversation to conversion.

Context
Instagram Live is a great tool for holding attention, but terrible at converting it. At the time there was no path from watching to buying, so our agency built one.
Approach
Turn a live comment into a conversion. You're watching, you like a product, you comment, and an automated DM takes you to checkout without leaving Instagram.
Execution
Wrote the creator's script for the live: what she says, when, and how she cues the trigger word for the audience to comment, and the entire automation behind it. Five looks, every product inside every look, each one with an opportunity to purchase in conversation.
Result
Sephora's first ever Instagram live-to-DM commerce flow. Performance numbers were never pulled, but the success was that it ran without a single bug across eight markets: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen.

Fast & Furious 6

Interactive second-screen experience

Good idea. Great build. Wrong screen.

Project
A pre-automated flow built to hold second-screen attention for the entirety of the movie premiere.
Roadblocks
  • Pausing the movie didn't pause the automation, so a snack run meant coming back to a thread that had moved on without the viewer.
  • Tone and references were guesswork rather than intent due to the lack of data on the audience demographic.
Result
The longest pre-automated build the agency had done to date. Becoming an expert in the agency's software and in working against a story I didn't write came with a front-row seat to how a franchise movie launch can run.

What I do

Take your pick(s).

  1. Acquisition

    Conversion campaigns

Paid ads, landing pages, PDPs, and the strategy beneath them. The work that answers to a dashboard.

See it in Laundry Sauce and Flaus

  2. Retention

    Lifecycle and content

Email, SMS, influencer scripts, and blogs. Everything that keeps talking after the first click.

See it in Sephora Middle East

  3. Brand

    Voice systems

Brand books, tone of voice, brand pillars, copy banks, and founder storytelling. The source everything else gets written from.

See it in DIGI by Glamnetic

  4. Presence

    Out-of-home and experiential

Highway banners, festival activations, retail openings, and merch. The work people walk past, not scroll past.
